TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Gets Ride Modes On The Single Channel ABS Variant

Ride modes selection is a first-in-class offering for the segment that the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V falls into

TVS Motor Company has given its popular model, the Apache RTR 200 4V, a significant equipment upgrade. The single-channel ABS-equipped variant of the bike now gets the manufacturer’s selectable ride modes system neatly incorporated into it. This, as a matter of fact, is a first-in-segment feature. Plus, there are also an adjustable suspension and adjustable levers on offer as well. There is also a dual-channel ABS-equipped version of the RTR 200 4V on sale, with similar equipment levels.

The ride modes on offer- Sport, Urban and Rain impart on the rider, clear distinctions in terms of the overall riding experience offered. The Urban mode renders a peppy nature to the engine, riding which inside the city, would be a breeze. The ABS here, is optimized for quicker responses and has sharper triggers.

The rain mode makes the ABS highly sensitive and the levers gain more pulsation feel. Greater sensitivity of the ABS would essentially mean more efficiency and better control on wet surfaces and thus added safety.

The Sport mode lives upto its name by offering sharper acceleration and improved power delivery. The ABS here feels quite held back and maximum tolerable, so as to give the rider the best lap times.

On the mechanical front, the Apache RTR 200 4V draws its power from a 197.75cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine churning out a good 20.82 PS and 17.25Nm. A 5-speed manual unit does the transmission duties and the bike gets disc brakes for both wheels.

The 2021 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V with single channel ABS is available in three colours- Gloss Black, Pearl White, and Matte Blue and is priced at INR 1.28 lakh.
