BS6 TVS Jupiter Prices Hiked!

BS6 compliance has affected the pricing of TVS Jupiter!

TVS management is forced to hike the price of Jupiter scooter by 1040 rupees, which has made the entry-level variant of the scooter available at INR 63,102 , the ZX variant priced at INR 65,102, and the fully armed Classic variant cost INR 69,602. The TVS Jupiter Classic offers a USB charger, tinted visor, and a backrest as standard. This is the second hike in the ex-showroom pricing of the scooter, since June 2020, following a 600 rupees increment then. The management justifies this increment as the additional expenses that occurred from the cost of introducing BS6 emission compatibility. Similar price hikes have been introduced by other manufacturers as well for the same reason.

Apart from the price hike Jupiter has received no significant updates and is still powered by a 110cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine producing 7.3 hp and 8.4nm of peak torque with TVS’s ET-Fi (Eco Thrust Fuel Injection) system. The manufacturer claims that the BS6 engine will deliver 15% higher fuel efficiency.
