Suzuki Motorcycle India Sells 40,636 Units in March 2020, Records 5.7% Growth in FY 2019-20!

Suzuki Motorcycle India closes the year on a pleasant note, recording a 5.7% growth


As the fiscal year comes to a close, Suzuki Motorcycle India records a pleasant 5.7% growth during FY 2019-20. The manufacturer sold 790,397 units from April 2019 to March 2020, against the 747,506 units mark of the previous year.

Suzuki Motorcycle India also recorded sales of 40,636 units (Domestic and exports combined) until March 22, 2020. SMIL had halted its Haryana plant operations on March 22, owing to the COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak. As sources reveal, SMIL has managed to sell 33,930 units in the domestic market prior to this and in the month of March.

FY 2019-20 had been a great year for the manufacturer altogether. It was this year that Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd had made its foray into the quarter-litre segment with the launch of the Suzuki Gixxer 250. The Gixxer 250 continues to offer added grunt with its India-spec Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS). The year also saw the launch of the BS6 compliant versions of the popular Suzuki Access 125.
