New Audi A4 Launch On January 5!

The 2021 Audi A4 is hoped to drive in much sales volume for the carmaker

Audi has announced that, the new updated A4 will be launched on January 5 in India. The facelifted model will feature updated exterior and interiors along with a new turbo petrol engine.

The new A4 is a step up from the previous model, which was discontinued earlier this year, in the light of BS6 regulations swinging into place. The new A4 comes with moderate updates for the 2021 game, including a wider, single frame grille, new headlamps with DRLs, reworked front and rear bumpers and restyled taillights.

On the inside, the basic layout remains unchanged, though the 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and other bits are new. Unlike the bigger siblings- the A6 and the A8, the new A4 continues to use physical controls for the climate control system.

Audi has ditched the 1.4L turbo petrol engine and the new car will be equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine with 190hp on tap, mated to a 7 speed dual clutch automatic transmission, sending power to the front wheels. There’s, however, no diesel engine on offer.

The new A4 is likely to be offered in 2 variants – Premium Plus and Technology. The top-spec Technology variant is expected to come with almost all boxes checked. This includes Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster, all-LED headlamps, multi-zone climate control, ambient lighting, etc.

Prices for the new A4 are expected to start around INR 40 lakhs (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will go against the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3 Series, and the Jaguar XE.
