Coronavirus: Lamborghini Shuts Down Sant’Agata Bolognese Factory!

The Lamborghini plant in Sant’Agata Bolognese will remain closed from March 13 to 25, due to the Coronavirus outbreak

The novel Coronavirus has been having a fatal impact on Italy. More than 21,000 cases have so far been registered in the country, with deaths amounting to over 1400 so far. Automobili Lamborghini, in an effort to safeguard its people from the pandemic, has declared the closure of the Sant’Agata Bolognese facility till 25th of the month.

The plant in North Italy will remain closed from the 13th to the 25th of March. This is by the latest government directives in Italy. Lamborghini feels it is their social responsibility to maximise the preventive measures against the novel Corona.

Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini comments: “This measure is an act of social responsibility and high sensibility towards our people, in the extraordinary situation in which we find ourselves right now in Italy and which is also evolving abroad due to the worldwide spread of Coronavirus.

As we have done up until now, we continue to monitor the situation to react rapidly and with the right flexibility, in collaboration with our people and in order to restart with energy in the right moment.”
