Two of the most advanced modern-day machines- Aston Martin Valkyrie and Aston Martin Valhalla invade the Silverstone race track.
In a recent video uploaded by Aston Martin to its YouTube channel, the Valkyrie and the Valhalla are presented, taking on the famous Silverstone race track. Released as part of the carmaker’s campaign to promote the North American debut of the Valhalla at The Quail event during Monterey Car Week, the video was accompanied by a gorgeous gallery featuring both mid-engined hypercars.
Developed in collaboration with Red Bull Advanced Technologies, both cars are the pinnacle of Aston Martin’s engineering excellence, drawing from state-of-the-art F1 technology and unrivaled active aerodynamics.
The exact numbers haven’t been released yet. But the hybrid twin-turbo V6 powering the 1,350 kg carbon-fiber-laden Valhalla has around 1,000 horses to unleash. Rumored to cost somewhere north of $1.1 million apiece, the Valhalla’s production is set to commence in 2021 and will be limited to 500 units. Aston Martin claims that the Valhalla is overbooked at the moment and the carmaker is busy with the daunting task of carefully picking the deserving candidates as future owners.
As for the Valkyrie, the first deliveries will begin in late 2019 and of course, all 150 units have been sold out. The $3.2 million hardcore Valkyrie comes with a naturally-aspirated, Cosworth-built 6.5-liter V12 with hybrid assistance. Generating 1,160 hp and 664 lb-ft, the Valhalla’s big brother will be competing with the Mercedes-AMG One in the track-oriented hypercar segment.
