IndiGo takes delivery of 10 BS6 Ultra low floor buses from Ashok Leyland

Ashok Leyland launched its BS6 range of ultra low floor CNG buses in India. The first batch of 10 buses has been delivered to IndiGo airlines for operation at the Delhi Airport. Indigo’s parent InterGlobe Aviation has been having fleets of specialized tarmac buses from Ashok Leyland for long. With the new BS6 CNG range, this partnership goes a step or two ahead.

The new range gets a 216hp powerhouse and Hinduja Group’s iGen6 technology to keep the emissions in check. Ashok Leyland claims these to offer improved comfort, safety, and lower total cost of ownership. The 12M ultra low floor buses supplied to Indigo have automatic transmissions and full air suspensions.

Ashok Leyland has revealed its vision of being a top domestic CV player in the future, and we expect more exciting products to roll out soon.
