2020 Hyundai I20 Bags 20000 Bookings In 20 Days.

The third generation of the Hyundai i20 is finding quite a great number of takers despite being on the pricier side

Hyundai launched the third generation I-20 about three weeks ago on November 5. The premium hatchback from the Korean manufacturer competes against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, Tata Altroz, Volkswagen Polo, and Honda Jazz here. Albeit I-20 has been one of the top sellers in the segment for the last 5 years.

Hyundai has given the third generation I-20 a complete make-over inside out. The all-new too has become a game-changer for Hyundai in the premium hatchback segment here and the manufacturer has announced that the car crossed 20000 bookings in just three weeks time and 4000 cars already been delivered during the Diwali season, which exemplifies the popularity the I-20 has.

“The i20 has been a trendsetter in its segment and icon among the new age customers. Now with the launch of the all-new i20, we are upping the ante and setting a new benchmark.”

Tarun Garg, Director(Sales, Marketing & Service) Hyundai Motors India Ltd.

Hyundai also mentioned that more than 85% of customers have opted to buy Sportz and Asta as well as Asta(O) variants. Apart from Tata Altroz, i20 is the only car sold with a diesel mill in the segment. The 1.5L CRDi 4cyl equipped variants allured 25% of the customers. Other engine options on offer are a 1.0L turbocharged 3cylinder petrol and a 1.2L NA 4 cylinder petrol.
