2019 Suzuki Gixxer 150 Launched In India At A Price Of INR 1 Lakh!

Changes include a thoroughly revised instrument cluster and an all-new LED headlight upfront

Suzuki Motorcycles India silently launches the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer 150 in the country. Motorcyclists across the nation came to know of this only when the manufacturer updated its official website with the 2019 Gixxer 150 specs and other details like the city-wise pricing. Suzuki had recently launched the updated Gixxer SF and Gixxer SF 250 here. This is the third launch from Suzuki in the past couple of months.

The new version of the popular street-naked bike from Suzuki is available in three colour options- all black, all silver and black with blue. There are a couple of cosmetic upgrades on the bike. Mechanical tweaks are almost nil.

The key changes include a gorgeous looking LED headlamp cluster upfront and magnificent LED tails at the rear. There are even a well-chiselled fuel tank (whose capacity still sticks to the 12 litres mark) and new tank shrouds with updated Gixxer graphics. There has also been a 5mm drop in the seat height.

Again, the new Gixxer 150 gets a brand new rear tyre hugger, split seats, blacked-out alloy wheels with red stripes and a chromed out dual muffler. The bike has also acquired the new LCD instrument cluster from the recently launched Gixxer SF facelift, but with a more upmarket white backlight.

The Gixxer 150 specifications remain unchanged on the new model as well. It is still the familiar 155cc single-cylinder air cooled engine doing the job in the bike. The output still remains the familiar 14.1 PS and 14 Nm. The motor comes mated to a 5 speed transmission and is fuel injected. We were told that there would be a BS VI comliant version coming in before the deadline kicks in .

The 2019 Suzuki Gixxer 150 price sees a fair hike of up to INR 11,822 over that of its predecessor. However, it still competes against models like the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Yamaha FZ-S, Bajaj Pulsar 160NS and Honda CB Hornet 160R in the market.

Below is a quick look at the faired sibling- the Suzuki Gixxer SF, just for the fairing-curious share of population !
